Responsibilities

• Utilizes the ANA Nursing Process to perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues related to patient care.
• Identifies expected outcomes for patient care plans and develops strategies to achieve them.
• Implements care plans and coordinates care delivery among interdisciplinary teams.
• Promotes health and a safe environment through health teaching and health promotion strategies.
• Evaluates progress toward expected outcomes and adjusts care plans as necessary.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in nursing practice.
• Integrates ethical provisions and research findings into nursing practice.
• Provides leadership and contributes to the professional development of peers.

Requirements

• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire or transfer.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of Registered Nurse experience.
