About the position

The RN Inpatient Rehab position at Aiken Regional Medical Centers involves providing safe and competent nursing care to patients in a rehabilitation setting. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the implementation of individualized care plans to facilitate patient recovery and discharge planning. The RN will be responsible for leading nursing care, ensuring patient safety, and participating in evidence-based practice to enhance clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
  • Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients.
  • Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
  • Consistently completes hourly rounds to strengthen nurse communication and improve safety.
  • Collaborates with the patient's designated care partner to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Participates in bedside report to ease anxiety and address important points of care with the patient/family.
  • Acts with integrity, consistency, and respect for differing views.
  • Demonstrates quality through accurate documentation of the nursing process and core measures.
  • Follows facility policies and procedures to promote patient safety.

Requirements

  • Current South Carolina or qualifying compact state nursing license.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Rehab experience preferred.
  • CPI Training (or obtained within six months of employment) in required specialty.
