About the position
The Nursing Supervisor at Iredell Davis Behavioral Health is responsible for overseeing hospital functions during designated shifts, ensuring that the needs of patients are met through effective communication and management of nursing staff and other departments. This role involves informing the hospital administrator on call of any critical situations and managing staffing to maintain continuity of professional nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee hospital functions on a designated shift.
- Confer with nursing staff, physicians, and other department personnel to meet patient needs.
- Inform the hospital administrator on call of any situations requiring attention.
- Manage staffing to ensure continuity of professional nursing care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- At least two years of nursing experience in an acute care facility.
- Currently licensed in the State of North Carolina by the Board of Nursing or hold a license from a compact State.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- De-Escalation Training (within 30 days).
