About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) Flex II at Baldwin Health is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care across various units including Med/Surgical, Intensive Care, Emergency Department, and others. This role requires flexibility as the RN may be assigned to different units based on workload demands and will also take on the responsibilities of a House Supervisor. The RN is expected to perform assessments, implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes in accordance with established nursing standards and practices.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for patient care across multiple units.
- Perform nursing assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Rotate weekends and be available for night/day shifts as needed.
- Fulfill duties of the House Supervisor when required.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing for the State of Alabama.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Med/Surgical and Critical Care fields.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Nice-to-haves
- One year experience in OB/GYN preferred.
- Charge nurse and/or leadership experience preferred.
