About the position
The Emergency Nurse position at Banner Wyoming Medical Center involves providing critical care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department. Responsibilities
- Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
- Formulate a plan of care based on assessment data and patient input.
- Implement the plan of care through direct patient care and coordination of the healthcare team.
- Evaluate the patient's and family's response to care and revise the plan as needed.
- Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record.
- Participate in research activities and contribute to nursing quality indicators and outcomes.
- Interact with various healthcare providers and community agencies regarding patient care.
- Supervise staff and workflow in the department as needed.
Requirements
- Current, valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure.
- BLS certification is required.
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting is desired, with a minimum of one year experience in the specialty area.
- Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area of work.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Professional certification preferred.
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
