About the position
The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) at AdventHealth Kissimmee is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for various age groups, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and promoting outstanding customer service. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing LEAN principles to enhance patient throughput and safety while delivering compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Provide and supervise direct and indirect nursing care to patients.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Complete timely assessments based on physiological, psychological, and sociocultural factors.
- Set measurable and achievable goals for patient care and modify plans as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic data and apply it to patient care.
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and medication safety policies.
- Promote exceptional patient experiences through effective communication and relationship building.
Requirements
- Graduate of a school of nursing.
- Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) as per specialty/unit requirements.
- 1 year of recent RN Emergency Department experience.
Nice-to-haves
