About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Med-Surg (Charge) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Kansas City, MO. This role involves coordinating and overseeing patient care activities during assigned shifts, assisting with admissions, discharges, and patient throughput, and monitoring the quality of patient care services. The coordinator will also serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, support employee engagement initiatives, and assist with staff development processes such as interviewing, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Additionally, the role includes assisting with scheduling and staffing coordination to meet patient care needs and ensuring proper inventory and equipment management. The goal is to promote a collaborative, patient-first care environment.

Requirements

  • Active RN License or Compact RN License required
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required
  • Current acute care Med-Surg experience required
  • ACLS Certification required within 30 days of employment start date
  • BLS Certification required within 30 days of employment start date
  • Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills required
  • Candidates must be comfortable with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Charge RN experience in Med-Surg strongly preferred
  • Candidates with at least 2 years of current Med-Surg RN experience may also be considered

Responsibilities
