Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
  • 4 years of Cath Lab Tech Experience
  • Current Georgia RN license, RCIS or RCES
  • BCLS and ACLS
  • Proficient in scrubbing, sedating, circulating, and monitoring.
  • Proficient in multi-specialty procedure.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the physician in the performance of invasive advanced cardiac procedures.
  • Has thorough knowledge of all Cath/EP Lab Equipment and maintenance of it.
  • Administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
  • Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures and provide sedation for patients.
  • Will serve as subject matter expert in challenging and difficult cases by providing guidance to fellow Cath lab/EP lab techs in the proper operation of equipment and procedures used in the Catheterization Laboratory.
  • Must be able to perform a combination of higher-level work such as Cath, EP, and/or Vascular.
