About the position
The RN Cardiac Rehab position at HCA HealthONE Rose involves providing specialized care to cardiac rehabilitation patients, both inpatient and outpatient. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, ensuring that services are tailored to meet the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of individual patients. The Registered Nurse will also perform lab testing, document results, and communicate critical information as necessary, while adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining competency in their duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiac rehabilitation services.
- Perform cardiovascular physical assessments and accurately interpret clinical data.
- Lead exercise sessions while maintaining exercise guidelines for individual patients.
- Develop educational materials and educate patients on cardiac health.
- Document lab test results and communicate critical information as defined.
- Follow lab testing safety guidelines and maintain quality control documentation.
Requirements
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or active multistate Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS and ACLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; BSN is desirable.
- One year of experience in critical care or cardiac rehabilitation.
- Basic knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, and cardiac risk factors.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification or training equivalent to ANCC for 'Cardiovascular Nurse' or 'Exercise Specialist' by ACSM.
- Experience in developing educational programs for cardiovascular rehabilitation.
