About The Position

Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This position is for an RN in Ambulatory Care, working Monday - Friday, PRN (as needed) from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The role involves managing, delegating, and coordinating quality nursing care, assisting in maintaining a safe environment, and developing effective working relationships. Accountability for professional practice includes participating in educational activities, maintaining clinical competency, licensure, certifications, and mandatory education. The position requires delivering family-centered, child-focused patient care using critical thinking and evidence-based practice. Opportunities exist to serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or competency validator, and to participate in departmental or hospital-wide committees. The role also involves supporting organizational change and embodying the Scottish Rite CARE RITE values.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required
  • Current Texas RN license or eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
  • 2 or more years nursing experience required
  • Pediatric experience required
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • PALS certification
  • Competent in Windows OS and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • EPIC experience required
  • Full time or part time status required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

  • Utilize critical thinking and evidence-based nursing practice to provide patient care
  • Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or competency validator
  • Participate in departmental and/or hospital wide committees or task forces
  • Participate in and support departmental and organizational change and provides suggestions
  • Demonstrate the Scottish Rite CARE RITE values
