About The Position

The Opportunity: Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies. In all of this “cyber noise,” how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is an information security risk specialist like you who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action. As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with the Air Force to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll review technical and risk details to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll guide your customers through a plan of action with preparation of body of evidence artifacts. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience evaluating the compliance of a system against the Risk Management Framework (RMF) using DoD cybersecurity policies
  • 2+ years of experience as a Information System Security Officer (ISSO) or Information System Security Manger (ISSM)
  • Experience in developing and submitting RMF Authorization To Operate (ATO) packages in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Experience in developing cybersecurity RMF body of evidence documentation such as System Security Plans or Risk Management Framework Control Family Plans
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8140 certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Air Force RMF
  • Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Ports, Protocols, and Services Matrix, Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM), and Host Based Security System (HBSS)
