About the position

As a Risk and Emergency Manager, you will be technically proficient in occupational safety and health including industrial hygiene (OSHA), hazardous materials management, and environmental laws and agencies (EPA and ADEC). You will also have thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and theories of risk management, emergency management, and safety planning. Finally, you will design and oversee the campus's child abuse and molestation prevention practices and regulations (protection of minors).

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the campus's child abuse and molestation prevention practices and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health standards.
  • Manage hazardous materials and ensure adherence to environmental laws.
  • Develop and implement risk management and emergency management strategies.
  • Collaborate with various campus stakeholders to promote safety and compliance.
  • Stay current with trends and changes in applicable law and regulation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in environmental, health, safety, and/or risk management.
  • Professional training and/or education in fields related to risk and emergency management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in industrial hygiene.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials management.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations (air quality, water, spill prevention).
  • Experience in protection of minors and emergency management.
