The Senior Consultant for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL) is a high-impact role based in San Antonio, TX, designed for an experienced professional with advanced RHEL skills. This position focuses on providing Level 3 support and consultation, ensuring security compliance, and mentoring junior team members in a secure, on-site environment. The consultant will contribute to critical projects and navigate a challenging technical landscape, utilizing their expertise in RHEL, Ansible Automation Platform, and OpenShift.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 support and consultation for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, handling advanced troubleshooting and solutions.
- Utilize experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and OpenShift to enhance automation and streamline containerized applications.
- Act as a primary resource for complex technical issues, mentoring junior team members and advising on best practices.
- Ensure all work adheres to strict security standards and guidelines, in line with IAT Level II requirements.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL), with Level 3 expertise in managing and troubleshooting RHEL environments.
- Security+ or any certification meeting DoD IAT Level II requirements.
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (TS/SCI FS Poly).
- Skill rating of 2/3 or equivalent experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
- Skill rating of 2/3 or equivalent experience in OpenShift environments.
