About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for coordinating and managing initiatives across the Revenue Cycle, with an emphasis on leveraging expertise, resources, and technology-driven solutions to support operational excellence. This role leads the development and maintenance of comprehensive project and workgroup documentation and ensures clear, consistent communication with Revenue Cycle leadership and stakeholders regarding progress and outcomes. The Revenue Cycle Analyst partners with operational stakeholders to guide the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of new technologies, including vendor partnerships, software implementations, and system enhancements. This position plays a critical role in bridging operational needs with technical solutions, ensuring successful adoption and alignment with organizational goals. The Analyst compiles, analyzes, and validates data from electronic medical record and claims systems to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Through data-driven insights, the Analyst supports leadership in making informed decisions and advancing performance improvement initiatives across the healthcare system. In collaboration with the Revenue Cycle Project Manager and Coordinators, the Analyst proactively identifies process gaps, system errors, and operational inefficiencies, and leads the development and implementation of sustainable process improvements. This role requires guiding operational stakeholders through evolving technologies and workflows to ensure both compliance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare operations in inpatient and/or ambulatory settings.
  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle operations, including payer structures, insurance, managed care, and integrated delivery systems.
  • Knowledge of front-end and end-user business practices, workflows, and terminology within a healthcare delivery environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of system lifecycle processes, including analysis, design, build, deployment, enhancement, and support.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively identifies process gaps, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to lead small to mid-sized projects to successful completion with measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PMP).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple competing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Ability to develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, issue logs, and stakeholder communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely convey complex information.
  • Confidence in engaging stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution.
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to communicate to both small groups and larger audiences.
  • Strong customer service mindset to support collaboration, implementation, and follow-through on initiatives.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities, ambiguity, and a fast-paced, evolving environment.
