About the position
The Revenue Accounting Associate position at MathWorks is designed for entry-level candidates looking to build a foundation for their long-term career goals in finance and accounting. This role offers the opportunity to learn about the entire order/revenue cycle within a high-tech company, while also providing extensive training and mentoring. Associates will work with a global team to assist customers and stakeholders, develop skills in various business operations, and gain exposure to financial processes and systems.
Responsibilities
- Learn MathWorks global order/revenue process.
- Partner with Sales to ensure quotes, licenses, products, and commissions are accurately transacted.
- Analyze sales bookings and report monthly results.
- Manage the life cycle of software subscriptions.
- Develop systems/application capabilities.
- Troubleshoot, test, and document requirements for applications such as Oracle, Anaplan, Vertex, Business Objects, and Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain cashflow projections and manage accounts receivables.
- Engage proactively with customers and sales to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Adhere to compliance requirements including proper tax assessment and export guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Detail-oriented and accurate with solid audit trails.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multitask to meet daily deadlines.
