About the position

The Retail Tire Operations Manager at BestDrive USA is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail location, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales, and managing a team. This role involves strategic planning to improve profitability and operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with safety and legal standards. The manager will engage with commercial truck fleets and tire users to promote products and services, effectively running a small business within the framework of a larger organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations, supervise employees and manage inventory
  • Manage all location staff functions to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining financial integrity
  • Obtain annual/monthly sales and production objectives to ensure profitability
  • Protect assets including inventory, accounts receivable, trucks, and equipment to reduce operating costs
  • Recruit, train, develop and motivate employees
  • Work through the existing business operating system for billing
  • Maintain an acceptable profit margin
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results
  • Perform manual tasks including lifting, standing, bending, and squatting
  • Manage safety, health, and environmental processes
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Develop successful sales plans to grow profitability
  • Solicit commercial truck tire accounts
  • Maintain current accounts with regular sales calls and follow-ups
  • Assist in quarterly inventory while maintaining product security

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's license in good standing
  • 5+ years' experience in the tire industry
  • 2-5 years experience managing and leading people and/or projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Multitasking

  • 7+ years' experience in the tire industry

  • TIA Certification
  • Retread tire knowledge
