The Retail Team Manager (RTM) at Portables, an AT&T Authorized Retailer, plays a crucial role in leading the retail team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales performance. This position involves recruiting, training, and developing team members while managing daily operations to ensure profitability and compliance with company policies. The RTM is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence in the communication industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide a professional working environment in appearance and atmosphere as a role model for all employees.
- Maintain an 'I can help you with that' attitude with customers at all times.
- Greet customers and ensure they feel welcome and valued.
- Learn and sell all of AT&T's products and services.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty by tailoring packages to fit customer needs.
- Achieve store and individual sales goals to maximize commissions.
- Drive sales performance through coaching and training the team in customer service and closing skills.
- Stay up to date on AT&T product knowledge and industry information.
- Maintain all location operations including inventory, daily paperwork, schedules, and cleanliness.
- Be open to feedback from supervisors and peers to foster growth as a leader.
- Represent the company and the AT&T brand with professionalism.
Requirements
- Consistent and punctual attendance.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Work a minimum of 40 hours per week as a non-exempt (hourly) employee.
- Ability to work holidays, product launch days, and weekends as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Establish and monitor store work schedules.
- Ability to interpret and analyze sales and commission reports.
- Train, motivate, and inspire a team to achieve maximum results.
- Complete weekly one-on-ones with each team member and monthly store meetings with all staff.
- Ensure audit compliance at all times as required by Company and AT&T.
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to assist at other locations and events as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, or otherwise be mobile on the sales floor for hours at a time.
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
