About the position

The primary role of the Sales Supervisor is to develop their team for success by becoming proficient in guest engagement to achieve revenue and budgeted sales targets. This position involves maintaining a primary focus on the support and development of each team member through the sales proficiency process, ensuring that the retail store team is accurately staffed, and assisting with developing schedules that match team member skills to guest demand. The Sales Supervisor will role model the Living Spaces Guest Engagement Sales Model during sales engagements and execute Sales Floor Leadership and Guest Engagement Leadership responsibilities when assigned. They will also ensure the team completes ongoing development training, executes style guide directives, and helps address escalated guest situations and resolutions. The role requires the ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply data to assess the current departmental focus, partnering with Retail Sales Managers to meet and exceed sales goals, and fostering team member development to build a strong talent bench for the organization's growth. Regular check-ins, one-on-one meetings, and performance management sessions will be conducted to provide feedback and support career advancement, ensuring team members have the skills necessary for future success. Cultivating a positive store culture by acting as a servant leader and implementing initiatives that boost morale and engagement while meeting business goals is also essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a primary focus on the support and development of each team member through the sales proficiency process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5 years of retail experience in a direct customer interactive environment required.
  • High volume experience is preferred.
  • Three years of supervisory experience required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficient experience in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience working with Tableau is preferred.
