About the position

The Retail Sales Associate position is a part-time, seasonal role focused on providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the shopping experience in a retail environment. The associate will engage with customers, conduct product demonstrations, manage transactions, and maintain an organized store atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer knowledge and interest.
• Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to effectively assist customers.
• Assist in restocking shelves and organizing merchandise to create an appealing shopping atmosphere.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with stock management tasks.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store.
• Provide support in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the sales floor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math concepts is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
