About the position

The Production Retail Clerk plays a vital role in assisting the Retail Store Manager and Assistant Retail Store Manager in the daily operations of the store. This position focuses on merchandising, customer service, and maintaining store security while ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. The clerk is responsible for meeting production quotas, managing donations, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Retail Store Manager and/or Assistant Retail Store Manager in general store operations.
• Consistently meet or exceed production quotas as determined by management.
• Assist at the donor door, including unloading donations from vehicles.
• Exercise discretion regarding acceptance and/or disposition of donated goods.
• Maintain donor relationships through attentive customer service.
• Sort and price donations, ensuring valuable items are not discarded.
• Assist customers in loading large purchased items.
• Utilize material handling equipment to move donations as necessary.
• Implement loss prevention and store security measures.
• Maintain records of store operations and complete reports accurately and timely.
• Sort, pull, display, and arrange merchandise as instructed by store managers.
• Answer phones professionally and present a positive public image.
• Maintain store cleanliness and report maintenance needs.
• Attend safety trainings and follow safety procedures.
• Promote positive teamwork among co-workers.

Requirements

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with a diverse public.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
