About the position

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot Inc. is a part-time role focused on providing comprehensive solutions to customers, including products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. This position emphasizes building customer relationships, supporting a customer-centric environment, and contributing to a positive workplace culture aligned with the company's core values. The Team Lead will engage with customers, drive sales, and ensure satisfaction while also taking on responsibilities as a Key Carrier and Leader on Duty.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation in the Print function while driving overall store sales.
  • Assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.
  • Utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area and coordinate appropriate service for all customers throughout the store.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; support loss prevention efforts.
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels, coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support community outreach initiatives to drive client/customer retention.
  • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided.
  • Ensure safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team.
  • Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including driving awareness of key performance indicators and activating/deactivating the store's alarm system.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Sales and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use technology for information access.
  • Skilled in Customer Service and Print Services experience is desired.
  • Advanced selling skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and assist others professionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high quality production in the Print Services area.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail sales or customer service roles.
  • Knowledge of print services and technology products.
  • Ability to engage positively with customers and team members.
