About The Position

Student Health Services - Cashiers: UCF Health - Student Health Services (SHS) provides various primary and specialty care services to help keep students, faculty and staff at their optimum health. The Health Center is located on the Main Campus. Our services are designed with students, faculty and staff needs in mind. Become a part of our committed UCF Student Health Team as a Retail Operations Specialist and deliver outstanding care to our community. The Retail Operations Specialist will support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy convenience store. This role includes managing vendor orders and returns, maintaining inventory and product displays, supporting cashier operations, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. This role will also assist with financial reporting, pricing updates, and serve as a key backup to the Retail Supervisor. Classification Title: Accounting Specialist I

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of financial management, including account reconciliation, handling cash, and preparing financial reports.
  • Previous experience in retail operations, preferably in a pharmacy or convenience store setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience in customer service roles.
  • Strong professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the retail pharmacy convenience store.
  • Place and receive vendor orders; verify accuracy and condition of deliveries; report and process returns for damaged merchandise.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with university contracts; place special orders for Lab and Dental Center supplies.
  • Maintain required Food Service Training, training logs, and assist Health Inspector during inspections.
  • Monitor product expiration dates, stock and rotate inventory, maintain clean and organized shelves, and build product displays.
  • Support account reconciliation, adjustments, and refunds; manage cashier batches and safe balances; open/close cashier department; assist with petty cash and quarterly reconciliation reports.
  • Assist with biannual inventory reports, stock counts, and inventory adjustments; perform spot checks for unscannable items.
  • Run monthly OTC sales reports, monitor pricing margins, and update product pricing annually per Pharmacy Manager guidelines.
  • Complete all required university, AHSC, and SHS trainings in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
