About the position

The Retail Merchandising Supervisor at Staples Stores is responsible for overseeing sales floor merchandising, inventory management, and customer service. This role emphasizes collaboration and inclusivity while maintaining high standards in merchandising and operations. The supervisor will lead a team, ensuring efficient inventory controls and delivering exceptional customer service in a fun, team-oriented retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for Sales Floor Merchandising and Signage Standards.
• Manage Inventory and Back-Room Operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and engage with customers effectively.
• Process accurate and efficient inventory controls including Zero Balance and Returns.
• Execute product activities such as truck unloading, sorting, and stocking.
• Maintain stock levels and execute Weekly Planograms and seasonal promo merchandising changeover.
• Perform front end responsibilities including cashier duties and online reservations.
• Provide store leadership as the 'Manager on Duty' when scheduled.
• Maintain a neat and clean store environment.
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in customer service and merchandising.
• Ability to manage and coach a team or supervise others.
• Clear understanding of merchandising and retail operations.
• Ability to engage with customers and understand their needs.
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to handle priorities effectively with limited supervision.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull materials in the 100-pound range, climb ladders, and stand or walk continuously.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
