About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our multi-unit store in New York City. This role requires strong operational and project management skills, particularly in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, strong leadership abilities, and the capability to drive sales while effectively managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of employees, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
• Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local regulations.
• Conduct employee orientation and training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about products and customer service standards.
• Ensure monthly pop-ups are executed seamlessly with strong attention to detail.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
• Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail management or a similar role is required.
• Strong background in retail visual merchandising is essential.
• Proven ability in team management and operations.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting in a retail context.
• Experience in stock management and inventory control is essential.
