About the position

The Retail Manager for the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's CLUB program is responsible for overseeing the CLUB credit program and enhancing the customer experience within the store. This role involves leading a team, driving customer service excellence, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. The manager will also engage in training and development of staff while collaborating with various partners to promote the CLUB brand.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and drive the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's CLUB credit program.
  • Promote outstanding CLUB Customer Service Experience standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the CLUB customer experience.
  • Serve as the primary CLUB liaison for the retail leadership team.
  • Collaborate with partners to execute successful events for the CLUB brand.
  • Build strong relationships with the General Manager and fellow managers.
  • Motivate and inspire outfitters through effective training and support.
  • Facilitate CLUB 101 training for new Outfitters.
  • Create strategies for recruiting and retaining talent.
  • Provide coaching and feedback for underperforming outfitters.
  • Design and execute strategies to meet key CLUB metrics.
  • Review and analyze CLUB reporting for performance metrics.
  • Execute all operational and compliance programs for the CLUB.
  • Lead the CLUB instant issuance process and train others on inventory management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2 to 4+ years of Sales, Management, or Leadership Experience.
  • Ability to calculate discounts, commissions, and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret financial, legal, and technical information.
  • Proficiency with PC-based word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail management or customer service roles.
  • Knowledge of outdoor products and services.
  • Familiarity with loyalty programs and customer engagement strategies.
