About the position

The Lead Retail Sales Associate at US Patriot is responsible for managing the daily operations of the store, ensuring sales goals are met, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising store employees, scheduling shifts, training staff, and maintaining inventory. The Lead Associate will also create sales plans, motivate the team, and ensure a pleasant shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the US Patriot store, including supervision of all store employees.
  • Efficiently schedule all employees while considering their requests for hours.
  • Conduct sales and product training for employees, including upselling and cross-selling techniques.
  • Ensure products are fully stocked, correctly tagged, and properly faced in the store.
  • Create a sales plan to meet the store's sales obligations and assist customers with product knowledge.
  • Encourage employee performance towards sales goals and develop a plan for meeting store objectives.
  • Hire and terminate employees based on the company's hiring process.
  • Ensure customers have an outstanding shopping experience.
  • Communicate new item requests from customers to the District Manager and Planner.
  • Accurately receive all deliveries of merchandise in a timely manner.
  • Check inventory frequently to ensure goods are in stock for sale.
  • Complete accurate and timely paperwork and reports related to store operations.
  • Model safety standards and report accidents in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three years of previous experience in retail management preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem analysis and decision-making abilities.
  • Financial and quantitative analysis skills preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage a sales team to achieve company sales goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and coach others.
  • Ability to continuously move around all areas of the store on a daily basis.
  • Ability to work flexible shift hours, including weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service for at least 3 years.
