About the position
Wayfair is seeking motivated individuals for the part-time Retail Engagement Associate role, focused on enhancing customer experiences and driving sales. This position involves engaging with customers on the sales floor, addressing product inquiries, processing orders and returns, and collaborating with leadership to improve store operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service and sales, with a strong understanding of Wayfair's products and services.
Responsibilities
- Engage and connect with customers to drive sales by understanding their needs and style.
- Become an expert in Wayfair products and services to assist customers both in-store and online.
- Demonstrate confidence in closing sales and educating customers on purchasing options.
- Assist with operational aspects of the store, including customer carry outs, in-store pickups, and general upkeep.
- Share innovative ideas to improve team operations and customer engagement.
Requirements
- 6+ months of retail sales experience, preferably in a design-related environment.
- Strong technical skills to learn software and hardware, including mobile applications and POS systems.
- Excellent sales, organization, self-motivation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong time management, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
Nice-to-haves
- Interior design or specialty sales experience.
