About the position

The Retail Cashier/Customer Service Associate at Jacksons is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing the checkout process. This part-time position involves greeting customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness. The role emphasizes teamwork and a positive attitude, with opportunities for career growth through leadership training and profit sharing.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and thank them for their business.
• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Suggest purchases to promote store specials.
• Accurately ring up sales and merchandise, offering available discounts and promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
• Restock shelves, displays, and coolers as needed.
• Clean fast-food area, equipment, and stock as needed.
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling procedures are followed.
• Properly label, rotate, and stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous Cashier or Customer Service experience is a plus, but not required.
• A willingness and passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly can-do attitude.
• Availability to support business needs for a 24/7 operation including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Experience leading by example and doing the right thing, always.
• A strong sense of teamwork.
