The Retail Sales Associate at Margaritaville Beach Resort is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the shopping experience for guests. This role involves engaging with customers, promoting products, maintaining store appearance, and ensuring efficient point-of-sale transactions. The associate will also collaborate with team members to foster a positive work environment and adapt to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide top-notch customer service, engaging with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and offering personalized product recommendations.
  • Inform customers about promotional products and services, highlighting special offers and discounts to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Foster positive working relationships with fellow associates, promoting teamwork and collaboration to achieve common goals.
  • Maintain the store's appearance according to visual merchandising standards, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and attractive displays to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Efficiently and accurately process customer transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure smooth and secure transactions.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including adherence to cash handling and loss prevention standards to safeguard company assets.
  • Demonstrate consistent performance in sales and customer service, achieving targets and objectives set during quarterly selling observations.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in sales techniques and customer service skills, actively participating in training and development initiatives to enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to address customer needs and resolve issues effectively, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Adapt to changing business needs and customer demands, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in response to evolving situations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated selling experience in a service-oriented retail setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess customer needs, upsell and make recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote product, influence customers and work with a team in a fast service environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively.
  • Self-starter able to prioritize and manage various tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
