About the position

The Retail Associate - Budtender, Receptionist position at Pure Options involves assisting with daily operations at a cannabis retail location. The role requires maintaining high standards of cleanliness and compliance with state regulations while providing excellent customer service and educating patients about cannabis products. The ideal candidate should be proactive, knowledgeable about cannabis, and able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the shift manager with general operations and opening/closing procedures during operating hours.
  • Adhere to all policies, processes, procedures, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized work environment.
  • Comply with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Communicate patient complaints and issues to management staff.
  • Work with receptionists to protect and organize patient files and ensure all relevant data is completed in patient profiles.
  • Follow company cash handling policies.
  • Serve as the primary contact to educate patients about the medicinal properties of cannabis and recommend appropriate products based on desired effects or medical conditions.
  • Manage point of sale and transactional entries in the Metrc database.
  • Accurately label products to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a high-quality customer service culture and communication with patients.
  • Ensure daily compliance with procurement center policies, including state/local regulations, security protocols, inventory tracking, dress code, and work schedules.
  • Comply with human resources policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
  • Alert management about facility maintenance and troubleshooting as needed, including phone, utilities, technology, maintenance, repairs, inventory, and supplies.
  • Notify management of operational issues (e.g., security systems, plumbing, technology, etc.).
  • Contribute to team environment and advance the company according to strategic direction set by management.
  • Report any customer or product concerns to the manager.
