About the position

The Restorative Aide at StoneBridge Florissant provides restorative nursing services to residents in accordance with care plans and facility policies. This role emphasizes the importance of individualized care and teamwork, fostering a family-like environment among staff and residents. The position is entry-level and requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors through various restorative activities.

Responsibilities

  • Receives specific restorative nursing assignments from Restorative Nurse or designee.
  • Performs restorative nursing services in accordance with care plans and facility policies.
  • Coordinates dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up and clean-up.
  • Delivers nutritional supplements to residents and aids as necessary to ensure intake.
  • Assists with weighing residents and records weight in designated locations.
  • Reports weight changes to nurse and supervisor.
  • Assists with tracking the condition of splints/braces of residents.
  • Completes flow sheets daily to indicate that specified restorative nursing tasks were done.
  • Documents the progress of each resident as directed by supervisor.
  • Attends care-plan meetings of assigned residents as able.
  • Participates in QAPI or facility assessment activities as needed.
  • Accepts certified nursing assistant assignments as staffing needs require.
  • Uses proper lifting and body mechanics while delivering care to residents.
  • Maintains confidentiality of protected health information.
  • Reports any allegations of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment of residents to supervisor.
  • Participates in all life safety and emergency drills and trainings.

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant in long-term care.
  • Completed training in restorative nursing services or complete training within 90 days of hire.
