About the position

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in ensuring the success of the restaurant through effective operations, customer service, and employee morale. This role involves overseeing daily activities, managing human resources tasks, payroll, scheduling, and bookkeeping, while also serving as the primary supervisor for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with reviewing/approving timesheets in Payroll Platform.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and training.
  • Coordinate with HR mandated trainings to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate with the Human Resources and Payroll Manager regarding new hires, terminations, or payroll changes.
  • Approve weekly schedules for front of house employees and assist back of house as needed.
  • Work the floor at least 3 night shifts (preferably Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday).
  • Work with the Sales Coordinator to ensure catering responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Manage weekly cash deposits and logs.
  • Collect mail weekly at all locations.
  • Oversee FOH inventory and ordering.
  • Track inventory of supplies and order more when necessary.
  • Ensure all FOH positions are covered and employees are motivated.
  • Conduct weekly store visits and complete on-site tasks.
  • Oversee Assistant Supervisors and assist with their professional development.
  • Lead monthly FOH meetings.
  • Work with Chef and BOH Leadership to ensure task completion and motivation.
  • Conduct store audits and compliance checks.
  • Assist with Employee Performance Evaluations.
  • Train/re-train new and seasoned employees.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace with essential supplies.
  • Ensure store cleanliness and compliance with Health Department Checklist.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction by handling requests or complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with industry rules and regulations.
  • Meet budgeted payroll expenses goal of 22% to revenue.
  • Maintain Google, Yelp, and miscellaneous reviews as per company goals.
  • Ensure sales goals are met and develop plans to increase sales.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in the food industry.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification required within 6 months of employment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan proactively and solve problems creatively.
  • Working knowledge of food service and nutritional guidelines.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and focus on solutions.
  • Resourceful and able to self-start and follow through on tasks.
  • Personable, flexible, and adaptable with a can-do attitude.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented.
