About the position
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Host with over 1 year of experience to join our team at Pomeroy, a bistro inspired by the great cafes of France. The Host will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth service operations in a lively and collaborative environment. This role requires excellent hospitality instincts and the ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage reservations using a reservations management system, preferably Resy.
- Answer phone calls and direct guests to the bar or restrooms.
- Maintain the flow of service throughout the dining room.
- Ensure smooth service operations and quality service.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality role.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the restaurant.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a fine dining establishment.
- Competence with reservations management systems.
