About the position
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is a qualified professional responsible for directing, supervising, evaluating, and providing respiratory therapy services to patients as prescribed by their attending physician. This role involves ensuring that respiratory therapy care is delivered in accordance with state regulations and the specific needs of patients.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise respiratory therapy services to patients.
- Evaluate patient conditions and provide appropriate respiratory therapy as prescribed.
- Ensure compliance with state scope of practice regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of therapy provided.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in respiratory therapy or Associate Degree in respiratory therapy.
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Therapy (NBRT) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRRT).
- Current and unrestricted state licensure as required by the state of practice.
- Minimum of one (1) year RRT experience.
- Valid and current BLS certification through the American Heart Association; ACLS certification preferred.
