About The Position

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis is seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven, and mission-focused Resource Development Coordinator to support strategic fundraising, donor engagement, grant coordination, and organizational partnerships across the Club system. This position will serve as the lead coordinator for the organization’s “Friends of the Club” engagement initiative, strengthening relationships with supporters, community stakeholders, and volunteer ambassadors who champion the mission of the Clubs throughout the region. The Resource Development Coordinator will also act as the primary liaison between the local organization and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, ensuring alignment on grant opportunities, reporting requirements, initiatives, and national partnerships. Additionally, this role will function as the key intermediary between grant writers and internal departments, helping gather programmatic data, outcomes, narratives, budgets, and operational insights necessary to support high-quality grant submissions and stewardship efforts. This position is ideal for a collaborative professional who excels in communication, project coordination, relationship management, and nonprofit development operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, project coordination, or administrative leadership
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Professional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/database systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within nonprofit organizations or youth-serving organizations
  • Familiarity with grant coordination and fundraising operations
  • Experience supporting donor engagement initiatives
  • Knowledge of Boys & Girls Clubs of America systems or nonprofit grant processes preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the “Friends of the Club” initiative to increase community engagement and donor connectivity
  • Cultivate relationships with volunteers, advocates, community leaders, and supporters
  • Organize outreach efforts, communications, and engagement opportunities for Friends of the Club participants
  • Support donor stewardship and retention strategies alongside the Resource Development team
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns, sponsorship initiatives, annual giving efforts, and donor communications
  • Support special events, donor experiences, and cultivation activities
  • Maintain accurate donor and partnership records within CRM/database systems
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and development materials for executive leadership and board members
  • Serve as the organizational point of contact with Boys & Girls Clubs of America regarding grants, compliance, partnerships, and national initiatives
  • Track deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements tied to national funding opportunities
  • Coordinate communication between local leadership teams and BGCA representatives
  • Ensure organizational alignment with national development priorities and opportunities
  • Act as the bridge between grant writers and Club departments/program leaders
  • Gather narratives, program data, outcomes, testimonials, budgets, and operational information needed for grant proposals and reports
  • Coordinate internal meetings and timelines to ensure timely grant submissions
  • Assist in monitoring grant deliverables and reporting obligations across departments
  • Support cross-functional collaboration to strengthen funding opportunities and organizational storytelling
