About the position
The Residential Youth Care Worker position is focused on providing overnight support to young men aged 13-17 at Tulsa Boys Home. The role involves fostering a peaceful sleep environment and helping residents develop essential life skills such as problem-solving, conflict resolution, and communication. This full-time position requires working overnight shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM, primarily from Wednesday to Sunday.
Responsibilities
- Monitor sleep/rest periods of residents to ensure a peaceful environment.
- Assist young men in acquiring problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Promote life skills and pro-social behaviors among residents.
- Provide support and guidance to residents during overnight hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid First Aid Certification is required.
- Experience in resident's rights is preferred.
