About the position

The Residential Support Counselor position at Easterseals New Hampshire involves providing one-on-one support to individuals with dual diagnoses of persistent mental illness and intellectual disabilities. The role focuses on helping clients achieve greater independence and community integration through various activities, including employment support, socialization, and daily living skills. Counselors will also assist with personal care and behavioral support as needed, ensuring a high-quality programming experience for the clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with dual diagnoses of mental illness and intellectual disabilities.
• Facilitate community integration and socialization activities for clients.
• Assist clients with daily living skills and personal care as needed.
• Transport clients to various activities and appointments.
• Engage clients in recreational activities such as arts and crafts, games, and cooking.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience working in the Human Services field.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable vehicle and adequate insurance required.
• Valid driver's license is necessary.
• Motor vehicle and criminal record check is required.
