About the position

The Residential Sales Representative plays a crucial role in the growth of i3 Broadband by building relationships with customers and promoting broadband services. This position involves direct marketing efforts, including door-to-door sales, to educate potential customers about i3's technology and services, ultimately driving sales results in assigned territories.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Broadband Services and bundled services to residential customers in serviceable areas.
  • Travel to different territories going door-to-door with the goal of selling internet, Wi-Fi, phone, and TV services.
  • Describe and demonstrate the features, benefits, and value of i3 products and services to potential customers.
  • Match residents with customized services that best fit their needs and lifestyle.
  • Independently set their own schedule and plan their day, including pre-call planning and route planning.
  • Maintain company-established goals, prospecting, closing standards, bundling objectives, and sales production standards.
  • Work from a prospect list or lead list and ask for referrals.
  • Circle back and check on customers who are in the position to buy i3 services.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative relationships with the team and in the community.
  • Engage positively with community members during interactions.
  • Complete sales order forms, documents, and reports as required.
  • Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a customer service or sales role is required.
  • Basic understanding of consumer electronics and computer proficiency.
  • A valid driver's license and car insurance with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to train, accept feedback, and learn according to i3 standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous door-to-door sales experience is a plus.
  • A positive, outgoing, and friendly attitude.
