About the position
The Residential Manager at The Kennedy Collective Inc. is responsible for providing direct support and advocacy for individuals with disabilities. This role focuses on promoting choice, coordinating activities, and ensuring the well-being and development of individuals in a supportive environment. The position requires adherence to regulations and policies while fostering a community that values inclusion and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Promote choice and provide appropriate support to individuals.
- Coordinate activities to foster individual well-being, growth, and development.
- Ensure implementation of services and programs outlined in individuals' ISP.
- Supervise and coordinate daily living skills including personal care, recreation, meal prep, and household chores.
- Maintain current training and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Communicate professionally and timely with co-workers, supervisors, families, and guardians.
- Record and maintain individuals' records in Therap, including data entry and case notes.
- Administer medications in accordance with DDS regulations and ensure availability of medications.
- Advocate for individuals and teach them self-advocacy skills.
- Ensure the protection of individuals' rights and safety by following HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office and the internet.
- Experience in supervising individuals with disabilities.
