Responsibilities

  • Install conduit, pull wire, and mount equipment, training apprentices to do the same.
  • Maximize opportunities while on location to present any additional electrical related services that you deem necessary or beneficial to the customer.
  • Look for opportunities to recommend other departments to the customer for pressing or future work and discuss these with the customer.
  • Assemble and install small or large electrical parts and pieces.
  • Safely complete in-home and in-office service calls.
  • Trim outlets, recessed can lighting and other repetitive finish work.
  • May perform hot work if qualified and trained with all the necessary precautions in place.
  • Installation and wiring of generators, condensing units and boilers.
  • Establish customer trust and rapport.
  • Educate customers on their options regarding electrical solutions.
  • Present financing options regarding walk customers through options.
  • Responsible for leading communication between the customer and the office.
  • Use electrical formulas to figure out pipe fill, device and panel size and disconnect.
  • Lay out and organize assigned tasks.
  • Plan materials and tools needed to complete the job.
  • Read and understand basic blueprints.
  • Handle material required for the job.
  • Perform duties in a professional manner.
  • Process all necessary paperwork and documentation between the job, supply house and office.
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite, work area and well inventoried truck.
  • Desire to grow the department and train apprentices to do the same.

Requirements

  • Current Michigan Electrical Journeyman or Master's license.
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Clean driving record and valid driving license.
  • Desire to offer an exceptional customer experience to residential customers.
  • Self-motivated and able to identify and suggest best solutions for the customer.
  • Highly reliable and operates with high integrity.
  • Brings a positive attitude to the work environment.
