Residential Electrical Service Advisor
About The Position
As an Electrical Advisor with Mister Sparky Electric, you’ll play a critical role in driving sales and overseeing high-value residential electrical projects. Your knowledge will help guide the design and execution of complex installations including panel upgrades, whole-home rewires, EV charger installations, and more. In addition to providing an exceptional customer experience, you'll be a key mentor to our team of electricians—training and supporting them to meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. With a blend of technical expertise and strong sales acumen, you'll directly impact company performance and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 5-6 years in residential electrical service and repair, with knowledge of code, safety, and installation procedures.
- Experience in mentoring or managing teams in a field-based service or sales capacity.
- Proficiency with electrical troubleshooting tools and systems, including panels, breakers, surge protectors, and smart home integration.
- Demonstrated success in selling residential projects and presenting solutions to homeowners.
- Outstanding communication, listening, and interpersonal abilities.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
- Deep understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and permitting.
- Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ServiceTitan or a similar CRM is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage and close high-value leads provided by our service electricians, focusing on large-scale residential projects.
- Use Mister Sparky’s proven sales process to deliver results.
- Exceed targets in closing percentage, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop sales strategies tailored to unique project scopes and customer preferences to improve closing rates.
- Manage electrical installations from assessment to final inspection, ensuring code compliance, safety, and quality.
- Ensure materials, permits, and equipment are secured on time for each job.
- Perform site visits, address obstacles quickly, and uphold Mister Sparky’s high project standards.
- Partner with the Install Coordinator and other departments to ensure flawless project execution.
- Conduct post-job follow-ups with customers to resolve any concerns and confirm satisfaction.
- Establish long-term relationships with clients by delivering a 5-star experience.
- Meet or exceed KPIs in close rates, average ticket size, and club membership sales.
- Maintain and build on our outstanding customer service reputation.
- Perform other tasks as needed to support business operations and customer satisfaction.
