About the position

As a Residential Care Worker I at MaineHealth, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges through transitional residential treatment programs. Your primary focus will be to enhance clients' overall functioning and quality of life by guiding them towards their treatment goals within the residential program and the community. This position is essential in helping clients maintain recovery and reduce stigma associated with mental health issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain schedules and participate in treatment-focused supervision meetings.
• Assist and coordinate individuals in activities aimed at achieving their treatment goals.
• Support clients in transitioning to a lower level of care.
• Provide personal care and organize appointments for clients.
• Engage clients in treatment groups and community activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current certification as an Active Certified Residential Medication Aide and Personal Support Specialist required.
• Current certification as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT 1) must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Valid Driver's License preferred.
• Experience working in a residential setting preferred.
