About the position
The Residential Assistant for Men's Roads to Recovery at The Providence Center plays a crucial role in supporting men in recovery from addiction and mental health issues. This part-time position focuses on helping residents regain control of their lives and make positive changes, while also providing guidance and support in a structured environment. The role involves coordinating daily operations and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for clients as they transition into the community.
Responsibilities
- Perform, coordinate, and monitor daily non-clinical operations of the program.
- Provide orientation of clients into the community.
- Conduct tours of the facility and make introductions.
- Problem solve and provide support to clients as needed.
- Serve as a role model for residents.
- Assist in new client admissions, including reviewing rules and regulations, issuing linens, assigning bedrooms, and gathering necessary documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; advanced education preferred.
- Experience working with a substance abuse population is strongly preferred.
- Must have at least 4 years in recovery, if applicable.
- Valid driver's license and insured auto required.
