About the position
The Residential Aide plays a crucial role in supporting clients and guests at the Paul Hotel Family Shelter, a transitional family shelter for asylum seekers. This position involves coordinating non-clinical needs, ensuring safety, and promoting client engagement in services. The Aide is responsible for managing front desk activities, monitoring building safety, and providing optimal customer service to clients.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all front desk staff activities to ensure adherence to policy and procedures.
- Monitor building safety and make scheduled rounds of assigned areas to safeguard clients and property.
- Oversee client participation in daily program activities and provide optimal customer service.
- Arrange and transport clients to appointments and escort clients to assigned apartments.
- Distribute linens and supplies to clients as needed.
- Accept new clients in the electronic records database.
- Provide emergency response, including crisis management, first aid, CPR, and fire response as needed.
- Complete Incident Reports as outlined by the Program Manual and Funder guidelines.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED preferred.
- At least two years of relevant experience.
- Valid state driver's license with a safe driving record that meets agency policy preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
