About the position

The Resident Services Associate (RSA) at Wesley Woods Senior Living provides direct care to residents in a retirement community, assisting with activities of daily living and ensuring a supportive environment. This role involves physical assistance, meal preparation, emotional support, and administrative tasks under the supervision of the Resident Services Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Provides minimal physical assistance with routine self-care including bathing and dressing.
• Reminds residents of medications as scheduled.
• Aids in the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
• Helps with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Cleans and disinfects all areas including restrooms.
• Restocks supplies in resident rooms and replaces items as needed.
• Washes, dries, folds, and/or irons residents' personal laundry.
• Prepares and delivers meals to residents and assists dining room staff.
• Engages in effective communication with residents and families to maintain a positive rapport.
• Encourages resident participation in activities under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director.
• Provides input on the needs, interests, and abilities of residents.
• Implements daily activities set up by the Personal Care Manager.
• Provides administrative support including answering phones and record keeping.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written/oral instructions in English.
• Experience in a retirement community and/or healthcare preferred.
• Current CPR and/or First Aid certification required.
• CNA/CMA certification is a plus.
• Flexibility and availability for other shifts desired.
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds, bend, stoop, and twist.
• Ability to stand and walk 90% of working hours.
