About the position

The Resident Services Specialist is primarily responsible for assisting residents and coordinating their requests with the property management team. This role focuses on maintaining the community's appearance, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting marketing functions. Key tasks include managing resident files, overseeing service requests, and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all resident-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate and assist with all requests from residents by entering work orders into YARDI.
  • Answer resident questions and assist with resolving concerns while providing high levels of customer service.
  • Follow up on all interactions with residents to ensure all items have been addressed to resolution.
  • Assist in inspecting model and vacant homes to ensure readiness for tours.
  • Administer move-in lease documents and conduct home inspections with residents.
  • Coordinate move-outs, including pre-inspection and final inspection for outgoing residents.
  • Monitor rental account balances and ensure accuracy of fees and rent charges in YARDI.
  • Assist in maintaining community curb appeal and the appearance of the office and amenities.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to residents to ensure satisfaction with completed work orders.
  • Participate in monthly functions to assist in resident retention.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Property Management preferred.
  • Experience working with computers and typical office software such as Email, Word, Excel, and Internet browsers required.
  • Previous experience in sales preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Ability to show houses in various weather conditions required.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment required.
  • High degree of professionalism and strong work ethic required.
  • Ability to resolve problems independently required.
  • Reliable, self-motivated team player with attention to detail required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management or related field.
  • Knowledge of YARDI software.
