About the position
The Resident Care Director at Norwalk Retirement Villa is responsible for overseeing the quality and continuity of care for senior residents. This role involves providing direction to wellness staff, ensuring individual care plans are updated according to state requirements, and assessing prospective residents' care needs. Responsibilities
- Oversee quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care for residents.
- Provide direction to wellness staff through effective communication with residents, families, and staff.
- Review and update service plans according to state requirements.
- Perform and supervise individual nursing services as required.
- Assess prospective residents to determine care needs and potential residency.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience working with seniors.
- Knowledge of health factors affecting seniors.
- 2 years of people management experience.
- Knowledge of medication, dosage, terminology, and medication side effects.
- Proven track record of integrity, verbal/written communication, and problem-solving skills.
- 2 years of behavioral management experience.
