As a Resident Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing direct supervision of caregiving within the community. Your primary focus will be to ensure that residents are treated with respect and dignity, recognizing their individual needs and encouraging their independence. Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision of resident care staff, monitoring job performance and collaborating with community leadership on evaluations.
  • Coordinates ongoing training and education for resident care staff.
  • Verifies associate hours on time cards and weekly reports, completing nursing schedules to ensure proper coverage.
  • Observes residents' health status, addressing concerns and reporting significant changes to the Health and Wellness Director.
  • Assists in medication management, including ordering and maintaining records as per company policies.
  • May administer medication to residents and monitor self-administration capabilities.
  • Monitors staff in medication administration, conducting audits of medication administration records.
  • Records significant reactions of residents and notifies community leadership of conditions and incidents.
  • Communicates with families regarding residents' needs and achievements, scheduling necessary appointments.
  • Assists in organizing service plan reviews with care team members and families.
  • Participates in maintaining resident charts and quality improvement activities.
  • Conducts safety and infection control checks of the home and grounds.
  • Participates in community functions and shares on-call duties as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in a healthcare or caregiving environment.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of medication management and health monitoring.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in senior living or assisted living environments.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Familiarity with state regulations regarding medication assistance.
