About the position

The Residence Hall/Systems Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing the division's daily operations, ensuring that goals and objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage divisional reporting, staff schedules, production operations, and ensure compliance with university policies while fostering a supportive and engaging residential community.

Responsibilities

  • Manage divisional reporting and strategic planning.
  • Organize and oversee the schedules and work of assigned staff.
  • Plan and organize daily activities related to production and operations.
  • Measure productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
  • Assist with budget preparation for the operations unit.
  • Prepare and update the organization's operations manual and policies.
  • Establish production KPIs and conduct quality assessments.
  • Monitor daily operations and address potential issues proactively.
  • Build processes to meet business objectives and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and manage residence hall communities, providing educational and personal support for students.
  • Respond to student concerns and behaviors and advise student organizations.
  • Manage facility and administrative tasks related to campus life.
  • Implement strategies to enhance resident engagement and satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget for housing operations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resources.
  • Maintain accurate records related to housing operations, including occupancy rates and maintenance requests.
  • Ensure compliance with college policies, regulations, and legal requirements related to housing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
  • A minimum of five years of related experience is required.
  • Ability to run, bend, squat, and walk-in all-weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and nights.
