About the position
The primary purpose of this position is to plan, execute, record and analyze research experiments utilizing a combination of techniques in molecular, cellular biology and virology in a collaborative work environment that will promote the specialist's independent research. The position is responsible for establishing primary keratinocyte cultures, generation of organotypic graft cultures, as well as the analysis of protein, RNA and DNA. Specialized skills will be cultivated, including immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, record and analyze research experiments.
- Utilize techniques in molecular, cellular biology and virology.
- Establish primary keratinocyte cultures.
- Generate organotypic graft cultures.
- Analyze protein, RNA and DNA.
- Cultivate specialized skills including immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment.
- Equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Adept at tissue culture.
- Proficient in standard molecular biology techniques, including PCR and gel analysis.
Nice-to-haves
- Two years research experience.
- B.S. in Biology, Cell and Molecular biology, Virology or a related field.
